Cornwall has always been a great place to holiday as a family and that hasn't changed. We have a great range of activities to suit all tastes and pockets!

Low Cost Activities
The biggest attraction has got to be our beaches. Other than paying to park during peak season, these are free! We have one for every day of the week and many you can walk to, depending where you are staying. Check out our beach guide for more information. Buckets, spades and other beach paraphernalia can be purchased cheaply at one of the many beach shops nearby.
The Camel Trail is free to use. If you bring your own bike, it will cost you nothing, otherwise you can hire a bike from one of our hire centres.
Crabbing is a very cheap and very entertaining way to spend the afternoon, regardless of your age. Crab lines and bait can be bought from many of the shops around the harbour including Padstow Angling Centre. The inner harbour is the best place to catch them. Drop a baited line into the water and wait for the baby crabs to bite. Put them in a bucket of sea water then put them back into the harbour when you're done. The crabs bite readily, they seem to realise its an easy way to a free meal! N.B. Padstow is a working harbour and you are not advised to crab from any of the slipways or steps that have boats working from them e.g. the ferry slip.
Padstow has band concerts regularly throught the summer. The children seem to love watching and dancing along with them! Its not unusual for the band master to get the children involved in some way.
Our whole area is great for walking. There are short and long walks to suit all ages and abilities. Ask your accommodation provider for more information about what's nearby.
Attractions
All of Cornwall is accesssible from Padstow, which opens up a wide range of places to visit. Click here for a list of activities and attractions in our area. Don't forget to check our event guide for events happening during your stay.
Our nearest big attraction is Cornwall's Crealy. Keep an eye on our website for events, offers and special visitors occuring at Crealy throughout the season.
Other great things to do in our area are surfing, fishing, karting and horse riding.
If you want to get out on the water, there are speed boats that run high speed trips thoughout the season leaving from the harbour and the Jubilee Queen runs hourly trips exploring the coast line with a commentary.
