Relaxing, rejuvenating Padstow!

Where better to dine than in a restaurant or cafe waching the comings and goings of Harbour life, or in a chic Bistro just yards from the sea. Padstows menu is frankly quite amazing. Of course our resident Celebrity Chef - Rick Stein has set the pace. With his world famous Seafood Reataurant and the associated TV series, Rick Stein now has several other eateries in the town including a Pattiserie, Seafood Cookery School and even Fish and Chips. This hasn't stopped others - Margots Bistro, Restaurant No 6, The R Bar and even Prideaux Place offer visitors to Padstow extensive choice and fine wines. For a more every day fill up why not try one of the 10 or 11 pubs in the town. What could be better than a dish of pub grub washed down with a pint of Doom Bar - brewed across the Estuary at Rock, or for the ladies a glass of fine wine from our local vineyard - the world beating Camel Valley Vineyard. If it's Cornish Pasties you want again you're spoilt for choice in Padstow The Chough Bakery on the Quay and Morris's also on the Quay are two to try while you are here. And no seaside holiday would be complete without Fish and Chips. With four or five "chippys" to choose from it has almost become a must do activity - a bag of fresh fish and crisp chips, sitting in the sun and watching the world go by - happy days!
Shopping.
Take a look around the streets of Padstow and you will be amazed at the shops, boutiques and crafts on offer! It is true to say there's a surprise around every corner. The latest fashions rub shoulder to shoulder with bespoke furniture show rooms - designer shoes nestle with antiquarian bookshops, hand made crafts sit side by side with a selection of surf shops. The variety is too much to list here and anyway we don't want to spoil the surprise - sufffice to say if you shop to relax, then Padstow is the place for you.
