Poets have loved this area and Sir John Betjemen lived here and wrote many poems about the area. St. Enodoc Churchyard where he is buried on the Camel Estuary is just a walk away from Polzeath. Daymer Bay is walkable and for windsurfers there is a car park and cafe for those who partake in this sport. Sailing at Rock which is 2 miles from Polzeath and fishing trips from Padstow and Rock can be arranged. For walkers the North Cornish Coastal Path is a paradise of wildlife and scenery. Many not often seen birds use the cliff tops and hedges as their home. STONECHAT BEACH COTTAGE has lots of birds and wildlife including badgers, doves, and the owners encourage wildlife garden and have lots of species of plants and shrubs and hanging baskets for your amenity. Garden furniture is provided and Stonechat is the ideal spot for sunbathing as it is southfacing. It is also on the level for older clients and children/pushchairs.

Polzeath Beach is a blue flag safe surfing/bathing beach, with lifeguard cover from May to September. Village stores, Post Office,cash machine, cafes, restaurants overlooking beach, fish and chips takeaway, pizzas, cash machine, petrol at Rock and Wadebridge.

We also have facilities for surfers which includes lockable utility room for wetsuits and boards. PENDRAGON is ideal for children as the front door opens out onto a grassed play area and if off street. There is also a nature reserve which can be accessed through the gardens and into woodland. The view from PENDRAGON is of the Bodmin Moor and the moorland churches. Every effort has been made for client comfort with a luxury double bed made up for clients arrival with 100 percent Laura Ashley cotton bedlinen.
