Nestling in the beautiful, secluded cove of Port Gaverne, the Green Door Cottages and Tregudda Apartments enjoy a truly unique location, perfect for a relaxing holiday break at any time of year.

The beach is great for families, with excellent, safe swimming in crystal clear waters and lots of rock pools and caves to explore. We even provide fishing nets in each property for the aspiring adventurers among you! Be it endless summer days or wind swept autumn walks, the scenery cannot help but make you stop and catch your breath with one of the most spectacular coastlines in the country stretching out as far as the eye can see in either direction.

Port Gaverne, and much of the surrounding countryside, is owned and administered by the National Trust maintaining its natural beauty. Well off the beaten track away from normal holiday haunts; it is a tranquil and alluring part of the country, which will have you coming back year after year.

It is a ten-minute walk to the ancient North Cornish fishing village of Port Isaac where you can attempt to navigate the winding cobbled streets or relax in the Golden Lion pub looking out over the beach. The most taxing decision being what fresh fish you are going to buy from the local fishermen for the Barbeque in the evening!

Venus Cottage has the advantage of marvelous sea views via a balcony and full-length French doors, from the open plan living/kitchen/dining area. The balcony overlooks the pub garden - great on a summers evening for watching the world go by and the sun setting over the sea. The original beams add a touch of heritage to the cottage whilst providing all the additions to make a relaxing stay. Downstairs, through the double bedroom a patio door leads to the sheltered courtyard garden with a slate terrace, ideal for sheltered sunbathing and relaxing. Both bedrooms have patio doors leading out to part of the pub’s beer garden. Parking is conveniently available in a private car park nearby.

Marigold, Torca, Courtyard are two-storey cottages with an ‘upside-down’ layout with a raised entrance to the top floor of the cottage, by way of slate steps, leading to an airy, open-plan living/kitchen/dining area. The décor is simple and tastefully brings to life the rich history of the cottages with exposed authentic beams, pine furniture and wood burning stoves.

Views onto the courtyard garden on one side and a country lane on the other create a light and sunny atmosphere on the top floor. Parking is conveniently available in a private car park nearby.

Rose is a pretty single-storey cottage, with beamed ceilings and an open aspect onto its own private rear garden, perfect for barbeques on summer evenings. The open-plan living/kitchen/dining room, with a large window and window seat, makes the room light and spacious. The double bedroom has garden views and the twin bedroom includes another window seat for watching the world go by.

The rear garden borders a stream which flows from the hills down to the nearby beach, although safely fenced off making this ideal for young children or pets, the sound of running water accompanies anyone who is relaxing or playing in the garden. A nearby slate bridge creates access to the private parking and an easy route to the beach itself.

Jasmine is a single-storey cottage with its open-plan living/dining/kitchen area is ideal for couples or smaller families. The living area is enhanced by the large windows letting light into the property. Contemporary bathroom fittings and tiled floors enhance this cottage and cosy furniture makes relaxing a pleasure after a bracing walk along the coast, before maybe sampling locally caught fish or tasting the ale in the pub opposite. Parking is directly outside the property and an alleyway to the courtyard garden can be found adjacent to the main entrance.

Rashleigh was originally part of a large cob barn used by local fisherman and the fact it is now still single storey means it has a very spacious open-plan dining/living room area. Its open plan kitchen with Delabole slate flooring and a large kitchen window, leads into this living area with its pine beams and complimentary furniture. A patio doors allows access to the courtyard garden for some sheltered sunshine or fresh air. Parking is just outside the property and there is a ramp for wheelchair access to the front door. The high ceilinged bedrooms many with skylights, naturally light the whitewashed walls displaying local artwork to their advantage.

Thrift was originally part of a large cob barn used by local fisherman for centuries; it has now been adapted into a cosy one bedroom cottage retaining its history whilst being refined into a modern holiday retreat perfect for couples. Thrift is the smallest of our properties and therefore the exposed beams, comfortable furnishings and tasteful lighting create a snug and inviting atmosphere perfect for relaxing after a windy coastal walk. The open plan kitchen, complete with Delabole slate floor, and dining/living area, look out onto the courtyard garden allowing access to the sun loungers for catching some rays or perfect for an evening barbeque. The double bedroom leads into a shower room, off of the main living area and provides a compact and intimate holiday cottage. Parking is conveniently available in a private car park nearby.

Upper and Lower Tregudda are two apartments, each with 4 bedrooms enjoying spectacular panoramic sea views from most of the windows. Upper Tregudda has a balcony which wraps around the front of the apartment with sun loungers and garden furniture from which it is possible to look out onto Port Isaac bay and headlands. Access from the living room, dining room and master bedroom, via French doors, makes this balcony a prominent extension of the building, - great on a summers evening for watching the sun setting over the sea. especially in the summer. The bedrooms and bathrooms (one en-suite) branch off a carpeted corridor leading from these communal areas. Lower Tregudda leads straight out into the garden, which includes ample parking, and the apartment is lined by a slate terrace with garden furniture for relaxing in the shade. The sea views of Port Isaac bay can be enjoyed from all the living areas and 3 bedroom windows. The living room manages to maintain an intimate atmosphere, even when catering for larger amounts of people with ample sofas and chairs in which to relax.

Parking for Tregudda is available immediately outside the property. A country path leads up the back of the property and brings you out on to the top of the hill giving access to the dramatic headlands and makes for a perfect evening stroll. Alternatively the pub with a garden and bustling atmosphere is only at the bottom of the hill!
